Broadway Bares 29, “Take Off” will give you Wanderlust: VIDEO
Before the world gathers in New York City to celebrate Stonewall 50, Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS will “Take Off” on their 29th annual “Broadway Bares” strip extravaganza with two shows on Sunday, June 16th at the Hammerstein Ballroom. This year’s travel inspired production will bring together 150 of the hottest dancers as pilots, flight attendants, and global tour guides asking the musical question, “do you like coffee, tea, or me?”
Created by Tony Award winner and Broadway legend Jerry Mitchell, Broadway Bares began in 1992 at Splash bar when he and eight cast-mates of The Will Rodgers Follies “go-go” danced in “rotation” raising $8,000. Last year’s edition raised a record breaking $1,875M surpassing the previous year’s record by more than $300K.
