VIDEO: Elton John talks about bidding “Farewell Yellow Brick Road”

This week, Reginald Dwight announced is final world tour.  After career spanning a half a century with over 300 million records sold, 31 platinum albums, five Grammys, and Oscar, a Tony and a Knighthood, Sir Elton John is saying “Goodbye Yellow Brick Road” one last time.

That is in three years after he finishes his final world tour covering five continents and 300 concert dates.

Let’s face it, the “Madman Across the Water” aka “Captain Fantastic” has never done anything in a small or subtle way and as he told Robin Roberts in an exclusive interview on Good Morning America,

“I am determined to go out with a bang,” John added, referring to his final tour, saying that he feels “joyous” for the opportunity to “say thank you to all the fans that I’ve had.”

“Certain things like that have happened at certain times in my career, where one phone call, one decision, one gut feeling … has made my life better,” John said… that “the same kind of gut feeling I had to do ‘The Lion King’ then,'” is what nudged him to do his upcoming final tour.”
