RIP :: Elderly Neighbor Gay Actor Chris Salvatore Provided Hospice Care To Has Passed Away

You may remember this story we brought you a few weeks ago about how gay actor Chris Salvatore took in his elderly neighbor Norma when her insurance declined her much needed hospice type care. At that age many elderly people struggle with driving safety and other basic needs due to the degeneration of the body that naturally occurs, so help is so very vital.

Sadly, the beautiful Norma has passed.

Chris Salvatore shared the following via his Facebook page today,

“It’s with a heavy heart that I share the news that earlier this morning the world lost a truly inspiring, beautiful woman. Norma is now resting peacefully in the eternal and while she may no longer physically be with us, her spirit will continue to fill the hearts of so many people. Perhaps Norma’s lasting legacy is that her story helped the world to see the true meaning of love. Norma reminded me that we all are created to love and all desire to be loved. This year Norma has helped the world see the true meaning of Valentine’s Day. To love another is not about living struggle free or never experiencing hurt or loss, but to fully and deeply open our hearts to one another without fear. Each of us is lovable even with all of our differences. Love has no boundaries. May you rest in peace my sweet sweet lady, Norma. ??”

Chris, thank you for reminding us all that doing the right thing can be one of the greatest rewards in life. Caring for the elderly can be such an enlightening experience, as many people who help provide care for family members in their later years can attest to. After all, they have a lifetime of wisdom to share. Caring for older people is a great career path and it’s one that many people enjoy.
