GOP: “Thought and Prayers”

The GOP “thoughts and prayers” response to every mass shooting in America’s gun violence epidemic is nauseatingly predictable.  Moreover, it’s utterly useless and more flaccid than Wayne LaPierre after hearing Marian Butina got arrested.

Democrats, the media, and even young people have derided Republicans for their pathetic repetitive refrain to gun violence tragedies, but no one can mock them quite like Randy Rainbow.  His latest song parody from the Broadway masterpiece, “A Chorus Line” riffs on the classic song “Tits and Ass” which is also the most charitable things that can be said about the vast majority of GOP elected officials.

For what it’s worth, Diana Morales’s song from “Montage, part 2” seems more in character for Republicans.

“Six months later I heard that kids had died
And I dug right down to the bottom of my soul
And cried…
‘Cause I felt nothing”

Admittedly, that’s not nearly as funny and sassy as his parody, “Thoughts And Prayers.”
