TheOUTfront was conceived in reaction to the outcome of the 2016 Presidential Election as a way of lighting a candle in the darkness to come. When it launched the following January, this was one of our first posts.

The day the 45th President of United States was inaugurated; this was our entire post.
That summer I took a long break to reconsider the future of theOUTfront for reasons both personal and professional. Then in August, the “Unite the Right” weekend happened in Charlottesville; Heather Heyer was killed, and 19 others were wounding by a white terrorist; and the President said, “there were very fine people on both sides.”

Those were her last words on Facebook, and these were my first words back with renewed outrage.

What I never imagined was on the fourth anniversary of theOUTfront, is having witnessed a treasonous insurrection incited and encouraged by the President of the United States aimed at our nation’s Capitol where his Vice-President and the Congress were in joint session.
Donald J. Trump is responsible for a failed coup of the US Government by his delusional MAGA supporters and the seditious Republican enablers in Congress.
If a picture is worth a thousand words then these speak volumes about what happened; what went wrong; the white privilege shown in responding to the terrorists; and those still supporting Trumpism and the sedition that occurred yesterday.

Trump must be removed from office

When the catastrophic security failure which allowed the Capitol to be breach is fully investigated, one can only hope the FBI looks directly at the Capitol Police who it appears may have aided and abated the Trump terrorists.
