Tonight, Adam Rippon’s quest for an Olympic gold medal in men’s figure skating begins as he takes the ice for the short program in South Korea. By now we are aware he’ll be the first openly gay man representing the United States in the competition, even if NBC has been conspicuously “light” in acknowledging/ mentioning the historic moment.
As with any athlete who has risen to the level of Olympian, the road to the Games is a long and difficult one usually filled with disappointment. But Rippon is hardly “any” Olympian; he’s sassy, outspoken, and fabulously Adam.
See for yourself in the ABC News Nightline profile.
Someone saw the dawn of Adam Rippon on the horizon as evidenced by this profile from 2003.
Wondering what the well-dressed Olympian is wearing this year? USA Today goes inside Adam Rippon’s wardrobe. (You didn’t think we were going to say closet did you?)
