Drag Trio, Stephanie’s Child gives Holiday Concerts for Naughty n Nice
Think the holidays are a drag?
Well, you’re right!
Just ask Jan Sport, Lagoona Bloo, and Rosé of Stephanie’s Child, New York’s premier pop-vocal drag trio, who made last December’s season finale of NBC-TV’s “The Voice” unforgettably fierce. This year, the dynamic trio will slay (or sleigh?) the holidays with their unique style of musical merriment (or mary-ment?) with two special concerts at The Green Room 42, Broadway’s newest intimate concert venue on Friday, December 21st and Saturday, 22nd at 9:30pm.
Hailed as one of the “Best LGBT Events in New York” from Time Out New York, the Three Wise Women of Stephlehem will bring gifts of riffs, harmonies — and myrrh. What child is this? Come find out at The Green Room 42
Stephanie’s Child, called “the girl group taking drag to the next level” by Out.com, stars Jan Sport, Lagoona Bloo, and Rosé. They were featured on NBC-TV’s “The Voice” opposite Jessie J on the season 13 finale. Winner of “Best Cabaret” and nominated for “Best Group” at the 2018 NY Nightlife Awards, the queens recently completed a Pride tour, headlining festivals in Columbus, New Hope, Dallas, and San Antonio. Internationally, they performed alongside Alyssa Edwards for London Pride, and opened for Alaska’s one-woman show at the Clapham Grand.
Rising drag stars in their own right, Jan Sport is the reigning Breakthrough Artist of the Year (NYNA) and was named one of the “Insanely Beautiful Drag Queens You’ll Wanna Follow On Instagram” by Buzzfeed. Lagoona Bloo was recently featured in a commercial for Beats headphones that starred Serena Williams and Nicki Minaj. Rosé – a recent winner of Lady Liberty, New York’s largest drag competition – was called “a razor-tongued tigress with slayage in her blood” by Out.com.
Stephanie’s Child will perform at The Green Room 42 (570 Tenth Avenue at 42nd Street, on the 4th Floor of Yotel) on Friday, December 21 and Saturday, December 22, both at 9:30 PM. The cover charge is $20-40. There is no food and drink minimum.
