Readers of theOUTfront will recognize Randy and The Randy Report as a frequent guest contributor for the last several years, sharing his posts and podcasts with us. For those new to his talented work or don’t know his blog, here are some highlights.
Launched 13 years ago as his “sassy American soapbox,” The Randy Report quickly grew a loyal readership. Four years later, Randy began his companion podcast of the same name featuring a weekly news round-up which he aptly dubbed, “The ’60 Minutes’ of gay news…only shorter.”
In addition to his news round-ups, Randy has conducted podcast interviews with some of the most high profile and interesting figures across the entertainment industry today. Among his fascinating interviews are Olivia Newton-John, Billy Porter, Tom Goss, Matteo Lane, and so many more.
This is his most recent.
But one of his most personal, and a favorite of ours, was done with his husband of 28 years publicist, Michael Caprio last August.

It’s easy to see why The Randy Repost was named one of the “Top 60 LGBT Blogs” after only a few years.
Randy began sharing his work with theOUTfront, and vice versa, in 2018 when he contributed this guest post as part of our “Sounds of Pride” series that June.
Thanks to Randy’s hard work and reputation, he was able to get press credentials for theOUTfront to be his stringer and cover the week of World Pride festivities during STONEWALL50 for both sites.
Last fall, Randy was honored for his work by the City of Las Vegas when the mayor proclaimed, “The Randy Report Day.”

Now GLAAD has honored him with their nomination for his work in reporting, defending, and promoting our LGBTQ Community. The Randy Report garners more than 250,000 visitors per month with over 30,000 posts and 285 podcasts.
On a personal note, I could not be prouder of Randy and the much-deserved recognition he’s receiving. He’s always been a trusted and invaluable resource, collaborator, and supporter of theOUTfront. What’s more, one would be hard pressed to find a more authentic, kind, generous, and uplifting person than Randy Slovacek. He is a great joy and inspiration in my life and I treasure our friendship.
Best wishes on Awards night and always Randy! Looking forward to celebrating with you.
