Bible Belt Comes Unbuckled in “All Male, All Nude” Documentary

Deep in the heart of Dixie, there’s one place where they let it all hang out, literally.  Swinging Richards (think about it lol) in Atlanta is an all-male totally naked strip club geared not for female clientele but gay men.  It’s also the subject of a new documentary, “All Male, All Naked” out this weekend.

Here’s how the film is described by

“From the creative team of behind the E! TV show “F.Y.E,’ “All Male, All Nude” is a cutting edge journey into the world of male stripping. “All Male, All Nude” looks at how one of the best known, most daring gay strip clubs in the world landed in – the heart of the Bible Belt. Atlanta is a mecca for mega churches and religious followers, as well as adult entertainment. The city has one of the densest populations of strip bars in America. Consequently, only one of those offers an all male, all nude staff and is geared towards a gay clientele. Welcome to Swinging Richards. Straight men, gay men, bisexual men and those who are only gay when the money is right support themselves, and sometimes their families, by dancing nude to a diverse clientele of gay men, straight women, business men in town for work, married couples and everyone in between.”

CSI star, Gerald McCullouch directs the documentary and in an interview with Georgia Voice said,

“Around my third season of “CSI,” I directed my first film – a short called “The Moment After” – which the Atlanta Film Festival programmed. I started my career in Atlanta as an actor many, many years ago and it was a fun homecoming to be back in Atlanta as a filmmaker. Some of my North Springs High School gal pals and I went to Swinging Richard’s after the screening to celebrate. That night I met one of the entertainers, my friend Steven, whom people get to know in the film, and the closer Steven and I got, the more I was intrigued.”
