All Star ‘The Boys in the Band’ Film to be Released September 30th: FIRST PHOTOS

Fifty years after it changed the landscape of theatre forever, The Boys in the Band took Broadway by storm in 2018 and winning playwright, Mart Crowley, and producer Ryan Murphy the Tony Award for Best Revival in 2019.

Directed by Tony Award winner Joe Mantello, the ensemble of all gay men was led by Jim Parsons and included Robin de Jesús, Zachary Quinto, Matt Bomer, Andrew Rannells, Brian Hutchison, Michael Benjamin Washington, Tuc Watkins, and Charlie Carver. Given its enormous success, Murphy decided to remake the film with his constellation of all stars from Broadway.

Netflix has announced this new film adaption of the booze fueled birthday blowout will premiere September 30th just as the race for awards season begins.  Along with the announcement came a few photos from the claws out party you won’t want to miss.
